When I create a PDF using EO PDF, setting the AutoPrint option to True, and then open the PDF in a browser (either Chrome or Internet Explorer), it opens the print dialog upon viewing of the first page. If I scroll down a little and then back up, it again, opens the print dialog. It continues to do this every time the top of the first page comes into view. Is this the intended behavior of your product? We are evaluating it for purchase and are looking for a product that can open the print dialog, but only once.
Is there a way to get the print dialog to open only once?
I searched around in the forum and no results came up when i searched for autoprint.
Thanks!

Hi,
Unfortunately no. There is no way for you to control that through the PDF file. The "AutoPrint" is in fact an automatic "open action" for the first page (there is no open action on the document level). Exactly how to interprets "open" is up to the viewer application and we have no control with. Most viewer applications interpret it as displaying the page. So if you find this not the desired behavior, you may want to implement it through other means. For example, if you have control over which application you use to display the PDF file, you can use our EO.WebBrowser control to display the PDF and then initiate printing from there automatically through code. That way you will have precise control over the whole process.
Thanks!
