We have a PDF Document that contains (4 pages). Each page contains one or more fields that we populate (with the current date).

We then generate some html (a table) and convert it to PDF and then insert it between pages 2 and 3 of the aforementioned document.

This document then is saved.

When viewed by other PDF viewers such as Nitro/PDF Xchange etc we see all of dates fine.

However when the same generated document is opened up in the latest version of Acrobat (or Acrobat X) all of the form fields after the page we inserted are missing. So page 1 and 2 the form fields show up fine. Page 3 now is the inserted HTML to PDF Converted document. Page 4 and page 5 (which previously were page 3 and 4) are missing the form fields. Going into Edit mode confirms that Acrobat X Pro thinks that there is no form after the inserted Html to PDF Converted document/page.

Looking for some suggestions on what we can do.

Hi,

Please check if you have multiple fields with the same name. For example, if you merge the same PDF with input fields twice, you will end up with the same field repeating twice in the same PDF file. This is a gray area where different PDF reader can interprets it differently. Some reader will display both but treat them as one (for example, changing the value of one field will automatically change the other), some other readers will just ignore the second occurrence of the same field.

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I have verified that each field name is unique.

Would it be possible for me to send you the file securely and privately so you could perhaps have your technicians look at it?
