We're evaluating EO's HtmlToPdf as a replacement for Winnovative because we need something faster. For pages including images I'm finding that for the first time I convert, Winnovative is slightly faster, but on subsequent conversions of the same page, EO is about 4 times quicker, while Winnovative stays constant. With pages without images, EO is 4 times quicker from the start.
My guess is that EO is quicker on subsequent conversions because of images being cached - is that right? We might be able to pre-load the cache if that's the case.

Hi,
The browser engine does cache the images so you can try to pre-load them and see if it makes a difference. However there are a lot of things involved when it comes to caching. For example, it may drop the image from the cache when the cache is full. So while overall it improves performance, I don't think you should be overly dependent on a specific behaviors of the cache as it may change from time to time.
Thanks!
