Hi

Having upgraded to the lasts EO Web, I get this when trying to view design mode of a test form.

"Error Creating Control - PageContextMenu1"

Any ideas?

Kind Regards
Sean

Hi,

Please make sure the DLL your project uses and the DLLs that are installed on your system are the same version. If they are not the same version, you will need to update your project to use the same DLLs as installed on your system (by default in "Program Files (x86)\Essential Objects\EO.Total 2015 directory").

Thanks!

Hi

OK, so I uninstalled, reinstalled and removed the reference and re-added it.

Now I get:

"unable to initialize external designer module, please check the installation and verify that eo.web.dll in your bin folder is the same as the installed one"

I do see the menu control rendered above this message and when I right click and choose menu builder I get a popup:

Value cannot be null.
Parameter name: path1

Kind Regards
Sean

Hi,

I am not sure why you still receive this message. Do you get the same message if you try to load our sample project in Visual Studio?

Thanks

Hey

In fact, I get the same error when opening the samples.

Any suggestions?

Cheers
Sean

Hi,

You can try to restart Visual Studio/your computer and see if that resolves the issue. The problem usually happens because of version mismatch due to cached older version of the DLL. Usually rebuilding the application and restart Visual Studio would fix that.

Thanks!

Hi,

We do not know what else could cause this problem. You may want to try it on a different computer or a different version of Visual Studio. If we see this in our test environment we will also investigate further to see what we can find.

Thanks!
