Hello,

I'd like to apply a custom style to the DockContainer/DockView/DockItem controls. Specifically, I'd like to be able to change the colour of the DockItem header, the look of the docked tab, etc. I cannot seem to find a tutorial or example for this on the site. Could someone point me in the right direction, maybe even with a quick example?

Thank you,
Sofie

Hi Sofie,

There are various properties on the DockContainer style that allows you to customize each part of the DockView. For example, this property can be used to customize the DockView's header:

http://www.essentialobjects.com/doc/5/eo.wpf.dockcontainer.dockviewheaderstyle.aspx

The built-in styles are implemented through these properties as well. However the best way to understand the detail of these styles is to have a copy of the original style XAML and then modify based on it. We can email the source XAML to you if you already have a license.

Thanks!

Hello,

Thank you for the response. As I only use EO for personal/non-commercial applications, I use the free license. I don't know if that counts as a license for this purpose, but if so, the source file XAML would be extremely helpgul, thank you.

Unfortunately the free license does not count for this purpose. You will need a paid license in order to receive this level of support that involves the product source code. Sorry about it!
