I'm having some issues understanding the licensing for the EO.Web Controls Suite. I originally purchased EO.Web Controls Suite (2007.1) around October with a standard license. What I really need is a developer license. After reading a lot of forum posts it seems like 2007.2 is only available with a developer license. Since i purchased 2007.1 so recently I can still download the upgraded 2007.2 version and I have this. Now the problem i have is the license only works for one domain and I need this to work with multiple domains. Please let me know what I need to do to get the license I require. Thank you very much.

Hi,

New purchases for 2007.2 are all developer licenses, however old standard licenses will still be standard license, they will not be automatically upgraded to developer license. For standard license, an upgrade order is required to upgrade to developer license, regardless if it is upgrade to 2007.1 or 2007.2.

Thanks

Sounds good.

Is there any way I can purchase a new 2007.2 suite - developers license and transferring my current standard license to another domain name I currently own?

Hi,

You won't need to do that because once you purchase a developer license, you can use your new developer license on that domain as well since one developer license covers unlimited domains.

Hi,

The upgrade price = total price - upgrade discount. You can find the total price from the purchase page:

http://www.essentialobjects.com/Purchase.aspx?f=1

Click "Buy Now" for the suite option, then change the quantity to 2. The first copy is $349, the second copy is only $249 because of volume discount. So the total price for 2 EO.Web Controls Suite developer license is $598.

To find out how much the upgrade discount is, you can log into your account and click "Upgrade Coupon". On the coupon page, you will see "coupon amount", which is the upgrade discount amount. If you purchased an EO.Web Controls 2007.1 Standard License, your discount amount should be 70% of your purchase amount. For example, if the purchase amount is $189, the discount amount would be $132.3. Apply that to the total price, the final price is $598 - $132.3 = $465.7.

Please feel free to let us know if you have any more questions.

Thanks

That clears it up (for the most part) >:D

I have one more question:

Is there anyway to change the domain name from my initial purchase of 2007.1 ?

Thanks in adavance...

Hi,

Unfortunately no. Domain name for a standard license can not be changed. Sorry about that!

Thanks

Hi,

Once you log into your account, click "My Orders" to see your old orders. On that page you will see an "Upgrade Coupon" link.

Thanks

Hi,

There is a "Coupon Code" field on the checkout page. It reads "Please click here if you have a coupon code". Enter your coupon code there and you will see the discounted price.

Thanks
