Hi,
We are running in to an error when trying to merge certain PDF documents that are uploaded by users of our system. We have updated to the latest version (2013.0.18) and still receive the error. I tried running one of the bad files through the EoPdfDemo also and it fails. Here are the stack traces:

From our software:
System.Exception: The type of the dictionary must be Catalog.
at EO.Pdf.PdfObject..ctor(ah A_0, String A_1)
at EO.Pdf.Internal.i0..ctor(PdfDocument A_0, ah A_1)
at EO.Pdf.PdfDocument..ctor(hj A_0)

From the EoPdfDemo:
Catalog object not found.
Exception:
System.Exception: Catalog object not found.
at EOPDFDemo.Program.OnException(Object sender, ThreadExceptionEventArgs e)
at System.Windows.Forms.Application.ThreadContext.OnThreadException(Exception t)
at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.TimerNativeWindow.OnThreadException(Exception e)
at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)
at System.Windows.Forms.UnsafeNativeMethods.DispatchMessageW(MSG& msg)
at System.Windows.Forms.Application.ComponentManager.System.Windows.Forms.UnsafeNativeMethods.IMsoComponentManager.FPushMessageLoop(Int32 dwComponentID, Int32 reason, Int32 pvLoopData)
at System.Windows.Forms.Application.ThreadContext.RunMessageLoopInner(Int32 reason, ApplicationContext context)
at System.Windows.Forms.Application.ThreadContext.RunMessageLoop(Int32 reason, ApplicationContext context)
at System.Windows.Forms.Application.RunDialog(Form form)
at System.Windows.Forms.Form.ShowDialog(IWin32Window owner)
at EOPDFDemo.MainForm.RunDemo()

I cannot publicly post the bad PDF file because it has sensitive information. Is there an email address I can send it to so that you can test it out?

Thanks,
Rob

Thanks EO Support for working so quickly! The issue was fixed when they put up the new version 2013.0.21.

I'm am also getting the same exception with the latest version. Is there a way for me to catch this with vb.net so I can avoid the error? I'm working with a pdf file that has photos. Thanks

Hi,

You will need to update to the latest build from our download page. I believe that build fixed the problem.

Thanks!

eo_support I just downloaded this on 6/17, have you released a newer version in the last few days? Where can I find the version number I am using now?

Ok so I ran the update, but I am still getting the error with my program. Says I am on Version 5.0.23.2 though. Any thoughts?
