Hello, I have been using the EO objects for some time but I have recently re-written and deployed a site and now my site keeps giving me the Control requires a license message. I have followed the trouble shooting steps and even copied the DLL and License files from another production site which is working. I have been deploying the site with the license key in the Global.asax file as well.
Here is what I have:
EO.Web.dll version 8.0.40.2,
a License file that refers to version="8.0" and my purchase date of 7/22/2009.
When I use the Licx file on my site, I get the exception: "eo_web.licx' is not valid for this build."
If I use one of the previously generated keys and set it in my Application_Start event, my site comes up but I get the banner at the top of the page stating that I need a license.
I am assuming it is a mismatch based on license and DLL but I have no other versions of the DLL available to me.

Hi,
You need to revert back to an earlier build. Your license is for 7.0, it covers some 8.0 builds (within one year after your purchase date) but not all of them. If you use one newer than one year after your purchase date, you will receive that error. We will PM you the download location of the latest build you can use with your license file.
