I would like to know how to send a value from a context menu to a grid cell on context menu item click. Also will the next iteration of the grid support cell background color.

Hi,

I am not sure what you meant by "send a value to a Grid cell". If you meant by changing Grid cell value, you would call the client side GridCell.setValue method:

Grid cell background color is already supported on cell style.
