I just updated to EO.Web version 9.0.37.2. It appears the font family and font sizes are not being saved in either IE 9, Firefox 9.0.1, or Chrome 16.0.912.63 m.

I am running on my Vista dev workstation using the new downloaded version but still have the old (ver 8) license. Is the old license causing this problem or is this a known issue?

Thanks

Hi,

No. We are not aware of any such issues. Can you provide a test page and give us detailed step by step instructions on how to reproduce the problem?

Thanks!

If I select (any) Font Color, it will disregard any font-family and font-size options selected. I have the editor inside of a dialog, but it was working in the previous versions. As long as no color is selected, the font size and

This same behavior is exhibited in IE, Firefox and chrome.

It is not possible to create a test page today.

Thanks

Hi,

We tested the following steps in IE 9, FireFox 8 and Chrome 16 and they all worked fine:

1. Open the following demo page:
http://demo.essentialobjects.com/Demos/Editor/Designs/Office%202003/Demo.aspx
2. Click "Full" to enable all toolbar items;
3. Copy some text into the editor;
4. Select some text;
5. Select a different font name from the font name drop down;
6. Select a different font size from the font size drop down;
7. Select a different color from the color picker drop down;

The selected text now have the new font, size and color as expected.

Please let us know if your steps are different.

Thanks!

My steps/situation differs as follows:

1. My Editor is in a dialog, launched from a hyper-linked span that contains the content to be edited.

2. When the text font, size, and color are selected, if I switch from Design to HTML view, the selected fonts and size are lost.

3. If I don't select a color, the font size and font family are saved as selected.

4. My editor dialog form has a "Save" button to save the content to the database.
If I don't switch from Design to HTML view and then click my "save" button to save the content to the database, the font-family, and font-size are lost ( not saved ).

5. This is a new design ( new page is stand-alone - no master page as was in the original design ).

6. Original design was using EO.Web version 8.

I'll do more testing on Monday.

Thanks

Hi,

Please remove the database part and isolate the rest of the code into a small test project and send it to us (let us know if you need our email address), we will be very happy to take a look.

Thanks!

I'm having exactly the same issues. If the selection is made, and a different font size is selected, it is often ignored completely; if it isn't, then switching to HTML mode and back to design reverts all the changes made. When the table is involved, then the situation becomes even worse: the selection of text often messes up <span></span> tags, so you may end up with modified font size in the table, rather then the text BELOW the table.

I can probably provide a step-by-step to duplicate these bugs.

Thanks,

Dmitriy

I don't want to hijack Duane/Mackin's thread like this - my problem may turn out to be something totally different. If I get permission from them, I'll post the repro steps. If not, I'll start a new thread.
Thank you

Please make sure you are running the latest build first, if the problem continues, please start a new thread and post the repro code/steps. We will deal with one at a time.

The new build corrected the IE 9 issue with not being able to select / save font colors.

Thanks!
