I must transpose my complex HTML rendered page into a PDF as a test...

When I download EO.pdf.dll, it does not seem to dowload & I canot therefore reference it in projects (whereas Eo.Web.dll downloads and registers fine)..????

1) Is there a free trial of EO.pdf?
2) CNET indicates 199$ price - how much?

Hi,

You can try out all features before you purchase. Simply download it from our download page and use it. The version on our download page is the release version. Without a license it will render a small footer "created by EO.Pdf" at the bottom of every page. Once you purchase a license, you will get a license key to remove that footer.

The price on CNET is wrong. We have the best HTML to PDF on the market and it's not cheap. The price for a single license is $549. You can find more information from our purchase page. We encourage you try out other products on the market and compare. A few things you want to check is whether they can handle any valid HTML and CSS, whether they are easy to use and whether they rely on external browsers, etc. You can also compare the quality of the documentation and samples.

Hope this helps. Please feel free to let us know if you have any more questions.

Thanks!

Thx for quick response. I have tried to download eo.pdf unsuccessfully several times - but had NO TROUBLE at all with conterpart eo.web? Therefore, my aspx to PDF conversion stops and error mesage indicates "no eo.pdf" found (or similar statement. What am I doing wrong - cannot find eo.pdf anywhere on my PC after download and install?

Hi,

You may want to try to download from a different machine or with a different browser. We do not see any issues with the download link. There are two different download links from two different servers and both are functioning fine at this moment. Also once you click the download link, it will say ".....If you are experiencing problems with the download please use this direct link", you can try the direct link and see if it works for you.

Thanks!

OK, well, more specifically, I do get the setup.exe fine on my machine - it just never produces eo.pdf.dll?

Hi,

That's the setup program. You run it to install all the files. EO.Pdf.dll is just one of the files you need (the other being EO.Pdf.Html.dll). The installer will also put documentations and dozens of samples on your machine. The default installation location is in your Program Files\Essential Objects\EO.Pdf 2011.2. It will also add a few shortcuts on your start menu that you can use to open the documentation and samples.

Thanks

I understand that.. just does not work. Could be: 1) I have other older versions of Studio on same machine (may not matter?) and 2) It is likely a permissions issue (though I get no windows warnings re permissions) - my bet is that I must disable permissions - I will remove and try again... thoughts?

When purchased do you get all the dlls (web, PDF, and HTML)?

Also, could you contact me on my email regarding a purchase coupon...

Hi,

I am not sure what you mean by not working. Do you mean the setup does not run at all? The setup exe is about 21M and is digitally signed by us (if you right click it to open the property window, you will see a "Digital Signature" tab with our signature listed there). When you run it, it will show you a welcome screen, then license agreement, then installing files, all the steps of a normal setup program. None of these has anything to do with Visual Studio. If you don't see any of those, the either the file you downloaded is wrong, or something else is wrong with your machine.

We have no problems giving you all the files after you purchase. However if the setup doesn't work right on your machine, then something is wrong on your machine. In that case the product itself may not work on your machine at all. So the first thing you need to do is to get the setup working correctly.

We can contact you via email if you wish us to do so. However we do not have any discount offering at this time.

Thanks!

OK. It is working. BEAUTIFUL PDF!!!! (Best I have sampled!)

Apparently, my machine has two dir: PROGRAM FILES (x86) & PROGRAM FILES directories - it installed in the first one by default - Win 7 search did NOT see it... I found it and copied to bin and referenced dlls -
works great - thx!

Glad to hear that you got it working. Our conversion result is very good. That's why it costs more than $199. ; )

Please feel free to let us know if you have any more questions.

Thanks!
