None of the show or close effects that I choose for the dialog control appear to do anything.
for example, I have a dialog based on the 'Windows Vista' template, I have a close effect of 'IrisStarIn' with a duration of 1000 and steps 1000, but when I close the box, no effect is seen.
Is the value of the 'Duration' property measured in milli-seconds, or seconds ??

Hi,
For dialog, only the GlideXXXX and RevealXXXX effects work. Other effects are based on IE filters, I believe they only work on IE with our Menu control.
Duration is in milliseconds. Steps are the number of "frames", so for example, if the duration is 1 second (1000), then 30 steps would be more than sufficient. Setting steps too high would slow down the effect because the code would need to play out more frames.
