Greetings, we are testing your product and its wonderful, we are about to buy it, but we have some problems with referenced images in an html, our site is asp.net 2.0, the html we are converting to PDF is generated dynamically, i use EO.Pdf.HtmlToPdf.ConvertHtml, the html is a string variable, but inside are image references (by styles and img tags), locally i tested it and worked great, but when moved the test site to our server, the images wont show in the pdf. The site in the server is an https, and i think it might be the problem, could you confirm if there are any problems rendering https images. A sample image is in https://lineamonterrey-des.smnyl.com.mx/AsesoresWeb/ConceptosVta/images/layout/email/headEmail.gifThank you.

Hi,
That usually is because the final image Url is not correct. We tested the Url above and we CAN NOT connect to that Url.
EO.Pdf can render https without any problem with one exception: It will not render anything that comes from an invalid certificate. For example, if you point your browser such as IE to an https site with an invalid SSL certificate, your browser will warn you that the certificate is invalid and ask you whether you wish to continue or not. When EO.Pdf sees an invalid SSL certificate, it abandoms the request right away (because it can't ask you).
Thanks!

Hi, we checked the certificate issue, but its not the problem, according to our security department its working fine. We can't find out what the problem is. Is there a way to disable certificate validation in the HtmlToPdf options? Here is our correct productive site image sample https://www.lineamonterrey.com.mx/AsesoresWeb/ConceptosVta/images/layout/email/headEmail.gifPlease we need this to work and unfortunatelly we are in a critical phase to release this site, we were thinking if this problem is only a limitation for the demo product, we have to demostrate if this product fits our requirements so our purchases department approves the purchase. Thank U

Hi,
We have posted a new build that would allow you to connect to any SSL server. Please see your private message for the download location.
Thanks!

Hi, I've downloaded the trial package of this and I'm experiencing this issue with images as well. I was wondering if you could allow me to test this fix that you provided on a trial basis. I need to be assured that this will work before purchasing.
Thanks

Hi,
The current build from our download page should work fine with your HTTPS image. So please check whether you are running the latest version. The latest version number is 3.0.62.2.
Thanks!

Hello again, now I'm bothering you because we are getting the same problem, but this time it's a new application hosted on a distinct server, its a Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise 64bit.
We are using ASP.NET 4 with EO.Pdf build 3.0.104.2 with license added, and thought a proxy server we redirect request to server hosting our application, somebody says its a 64bit issue, but I think its not, i think its the proxy server.
We currently have an https server working on production, but the server it self host the application and is serving request through the https protocol.
I'm wondering if there is something wrong with EO.Pdf when using a proxy redirection, is this possible or maybe some configuration on our proxy server or application server?
Unfortunately we can not provide any URL's because its still on a development environment, but if its required we could fix that.
A test I did was using the URL and the local IP of the server, and when using IP its showing the images, but not when using URL.

In our case, the issue was that a CISCO firewall was set up to not allow communications back to itself as it took it as an attack. That setting was changed and it worked fine after that. If you're unable to to change that, then the EO.pdf library has an option to reference images using their filesystem address and that works despite the firewall.

Hi Roberto,
EO.Pdf does not support proxy. So you must have a direct connection between EO.Pdf and your server. Https is fine. We are not aware of any problems with it.
Thanks!

Hello,
I have the same problem. When I convert to PDF through HTTS the image don't display. The certificate is valid and I use Request.Url.AbsoluteUri for BaseUrl. If the problem will be fixed, if I change BaseUrl?
Thank U

Hi,
You will want to check your server logs to see whether the request was successfully received and served. You can then go from there to find out how to resolve the issue.
Thanks!
