I'm interested in using your Calendar/DatePicker control but have 2 possible issues (I've only looked at your online demo)

Issue 1: When using this control to ask a client to enter a date from a long time ago (for example his/her birthdate) it requires a huge number of clicks to step back through every month to get there - over 600 in my case ;-)

Is there an option to have a dropdown for the year portion?

Issue 2: The week number does not follow the Week Number standard as defined in the ISO 8601 date and time standard. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_week_date for more info.

As an example, Week 1 of 2011 runs from the 3rd to the 9th of January 2011 and the 1st and 2nd of January 2011 are, in fact, in week 52 of 2010

Is there an option to enable ISO Weeks?

Hi,

Yes. It is possible to have a year drop down. See here for a working example:

http://demo.essentialobjects.com/Demos/Calendar/Features/Title%20and%20Footer%20Template/Demo.aspx

The idea is you can customize the Calendar's header template to place any server controls there. The sample placed a Menu control in the header, then handle the menu's item click event to navigate the Calendar with the Calendar's client side JavaScript interface.

As to the week number, currently there is no way to enable ISO weeks. We will look into it and see it is possible for us to support that (probably add another option in WeekNumberBase).

Thanks!
