As an end user, the following error is displaying in the lower left corner of the browser as the page tries to load: "eo_web.ashx invalid character line 6" I know the page is fine, because it loads fine on other PC's.

Are there any solutions or settings I can update in the browser? I have already tried turning off the anti-virus software, that was not the problem. I tried clearing the cashe too.

Thanks.

Hi,

The error indicates that your browser is getting the wrong contents, that can occurs if the server has sent to you the wrong contents from the first place or your computer has some problems decoding/loading that page on your client machine. Since our product is a server product, we can work with your network administrator to ensure the server is sending out the correct contents (you may want to ask them to run a trace on that). However if the problem is on your own computer, then you may want to contact your IT staff to check on it. We can work with them to tell them what the right content should be but we won't know how it got messed up on your own computer.

Thanks!

I posted because I was checking to see if there is a solution on the user side - it is this one particular browser that is having problems decoding/loading the page. I contacted the Web site admin, but they did not have any solutions since their page works fine on other machines. Since the page is using your EO technology, I thought you may have a solution.

Thanks

Hi,

No. We do not. Because we are a component vendor, we work with site developers, not end users. If a problem is only happening for a single user/computer, then it is for sure something is configured wrong on that computer. Obviously if someone who purchased a single license from us to develop a site that is being used by thousand of users, we will not be able to afford to troubleshoot all those user's computers should anything go wrong on their computers. As such we generally do not work with end users directly.

Thanks
