Hi,
I have rowcommands inside gridview which used for direct printing, show up eo:dialog for editing etc, it works perfectly but fail to do anything when behind callbackpanel, also no error on catch.
My eo objects was bought over 2 years and the version is 7.0.11.2, I find somebody else got this problme as same as me and solved by latest built version, may I one new built or I need to buy another latest version ?
Thanks

Hi,

Your tech support and version upgrade expires one year after the purchase. So the latest version you can use would be over a year old (since you purchased over 2 years ago). If you wish to use any version newer than that, then you will need to place an upgrade order. The current price for upgrading from your version is only $105 (30% of the full price). Note this is true regardless whether you wish to use the new feature because of a bug or not. We have this policy because browser updates rather frequently and often there is no clear line between “bug” and “features” when it comes to a new browser. For example, we can not give free upgrade to users who have bought our product years back on IE 6 but then requesting the new version by claiming that certain things are not working on IE 9.

We are not aware of any particular issue regarding the Callback and RowCommand problem though. Have you verified that the latest build indeed fix the problem for you? If it doesn’t, the problem might very well be in your code, that can at least save you for the upgrade. Also if you can point out the thread where somebody is also having the problem, we can probably review that thread and see if we have a workaround for you. In any case, if you have to use the latest version, then you must place an upgrade order.

Thanks!

Hi,
Yes, I understand that mine is already over 2 years thats why I mentioned on my post.
I really help me alot, all features and design are good and fantistic, I love it, thanks EO Object.
anyway, I will try the latest version and place upgrade order if my problem solved.

I experenced on using callbackpanel, it work fine and no problem at all but only rowcommand to show up dialog or linkbutton to show up dialog containing detailview inside, this problem found sometimes ago, I just remove the callbackpanel and let it work normally and no time to check it out at the moment.

I found this topic (CallbackPanel issue with ASP.NET GridView RowCommand) as same as happen to me.

Hi,

Glad to hear that you like our product. The topic you mentioned was closed on January 04, 2008, that's well before your version. So I do not believe it's the same as yours.

Please take a look of the latest version and see if it works for you. If it still does not, then we can take a look of the problem for $30. This is the additional fee we charge if you need tech support after one year. Alternatively, you can also purchase the upgrade. If you purchase the upgrade, then you do not need to pay the additional support fee because support will be free for you for another year.

If you wish us to take a look of your code, please try to isolate the problem into a test project and make sure the project runs and only contain code needed to demonstrate the problem (we will PM you as to where to send the code). We will also send you a payment link (if you wish to pay for the support only) or a discount code (if you wish to purchase the upgrade) for you to complete the payment. After that we can look into your test project. As long as we can run it here to reproduce the problem, we should be able to find out the root cause for you.

Thanks!
