We want to buy the tabstrip control, the 1 server license.
It will be used first by a contractor who works from home. Can we transfer the license from server to server?
Must the license be in place during development, or only at deploy to website time?

Hi,
Most of the time the developer would use our controls on his/her own development machine as "localhost". Since every license key works with "localhost", so it shouldn't be a problem. Also, the license does not need to be in place during development. Without a license, the developer would see license warning message, but it shouldn't affect any functionalities.
You may want to take a look of the MultiPage control. MultiPage control is often used together with TabStrip control. So you may want to consider purchasing the whole suite instead of only the TabStrip.
