- I am Using VS 10 Professional, Vista Ultimate, Asp.net 4, Mvc 3.
- While installing your controls, a message appeared declaring that some controls couldn't be added to the toolbox and I can add them manually later on. I proceeded with the installation.
- After installation I found all your controls are already added to the toolbox under your heading, but all of them are grayed and unusable.
- Also, I found that all Asp.Net Controls are grayed and unusable as well. So, I am unable to proceed with the development.
- I tried to find a solution everywhere without any success. I went as far as un-installing Visual Studio and re-install it again, without any success.
My Problem!

How can I restore the functionality of Asp.Net Controls?
How can I install your controls correctly within Mvc Platform?

EagerToLearn,
Joseph

Hi,

The only situation we know that would gray out even the standard ASP.NET controls is that you did not open an ASP.NET form/page in design view (which of course is kind of obvious so I doubt whether that's your situation). If that is not the problem, then you will want to contact Microsoft to find out why. We call Visual Studio's automation interface to add our controls and the installation does not do anything special about enable/disabling any of the toolbar item.

Thanks!
