With the scenario ...

The user clicks Browse and selects a file
The user clicks Browse again and clicks Cancel

... I would very much like the existing file selection to be cleared, as there seems no way for the user to change their mind on a form with one or more Uploaders and a separate upload button.

Hi,

No. Unfortunately there is no way to do that. The second browse and cancel is interpreted as "canceling any attempt to change the current file". In the current build you will have to reload the page (thus recreate the uploader) in order to clear selected file.
