Hi,

I've been following the instructions to install the license file on my server but no success so far.
1) From "My Orders" page, I click on "View" of the "License Key" column
2) Then I select "License Key for EO.Web Controls 8.0 (2010)"
3) I click on Redistribute Key tab
4) I click on "Continue without restricting host name"
5) I click on "Download License File"
6) I place the downloaded file on my remote server bin folder
7) I run the website and I keep getting the error "Slide ctl00_MainContent_Slide1 requires a license."
8) If I open the license file (eo_web.licx), I can see that all products are listed but "Slide" control is not listed (Slide Menu is but not Slide) (see list below).
9) Also, at the end of the license file, the <orderinfo> token indicates the correct date but version="7"??? shouldn't it be 9?

Hi,

That is correct. The current version is version 8 (2010), not version 9. The version you purchased is version 7 (2009). Your purchase includes a one year free upgrade option, that's why even though you purchased version 7, you are able to get a license file for version 8. However the free upgrade has the following two restrictions:

1. It does not cover new controls. This is why you do not see the Slide control;
2. It does not work for any builds made after one year of your purchase. Yours ends at 1/5/2011. So your license file will not work for any builds made after that date, even if they are still version 8. (Your license file works forever for builds made before that date);

To remove either of these two restrictions, you will need to place an upgrade order. The current cost for the upgrade order from your version is $105 (30% of the full price). Once you place an upgrade order, you will get a "full" version 8 license and start another one year free upgrade period. Please let us know if you are interested in that option.
