In my application based on an event, I first call GridItem.ensureVisible and then call Grid.selectCell on a particular TextBoxColumn which then puts this cell in edit mode. Our client is relying quite a bit on keyboard navigation and would expect, when the tab key is pressed, that focus would then move to the next cell to the right. However, the tab position is set somewhere else on the grid control so you do not advance to the next cell.
Is there another call I need to make in order to set the tab position to the selected cell?

Hi,
I am not exactly sure what you mean by "the tab position is set somewhere else". Do you mean that the Grid incorrectly selected another cell rather than the next cell?

Yes, exactly; the wrong cell is selected NOT the next cell.
You press the tab key and you expect to leave the TextBoxColumn cell which would then take the TextBoxColumn cell out of edit mode and move you to the next cell. What happens is the selected cell stays in edit mode and, after a few tab key presses, you realize that the wrong cell was initially selected the first time the tab key is pressed.

This may be my issue, so no need to spend any time on looking into this.
The event I am going to use to trigger the row to become visible is a scanner event. Rigt now I am simulating this with a temporary button on the page which is of course getting the focus and is probably causing the issue. When I get the actual scanner event in place I'll re-try my implementation.
