Hello!

We're using your components for some time and our asp.net site. But our servers are protected by linux firewalls and mod_security mode. But we have an issue that progress bar is not working when mod_sec is active and it seems that EO upload component is doing something that is not compatible with this filtering engine.
We were testing other application firewall as ServerDefender and EO upload is not working properly too. It seems that EO upload is doing something that those application firewalls dislike.

Could you please support us and help us to fix this and improve EO objects to work with those app firewalls?

Regards,
Jan

Hi,

Please check both application to see if they have an option to "whitelist" request to a specific file (eo_web.ashx in our case). Uploader client side script calls eo_web.ashx frequently to update the progress bar information and certain firewalls do not like that because it thinks someone is trying to attack your server. There is no way for us to change this behavior because we have to update the progress bar, and in order to do that we have to call the server. However I would imagine if you can set the firewall to just stop blocking request to eo_web.ashx, then it should work for you.

Thanks!
