AJAX Uploader - fakepath Options

hello

i'm using the ajax uploader on a website and when i upload a file it apears in the input a "fake" path instead of the real path:
C:\fakepath\[realfilename]

is there a workaround?

Hi,

Unfortunately no. That's an IE 8 "feature" and Microsoft didn't mean to allow any workaround. IE 8 did this intentionally so that the web server won't see the full client side file path, I do not know why MS also choose to display this to the client user themselves though --- it is displayed such even for a plain HTML file input element.
