Hey,

Have an issue that isn't happening in development and only in IE6.
We have deploying to our clients development environment and on uploading the first file the dialog and progressbar appear but upload takes around 20 to 30 seconds. During this time the progress bar is at 0% but the document does upload. Once the initial document has uploaded the rest of the documents upload with no problems.

A tester that is working on the form noticed 'the browser status bar showed it was downloading 148 items (the null.gif files). It displayed this value for the same amount of time that the progress bar was at 0%'

Is this a known issue? Is there anyway to get around the initial upload issue.
This occurs on each fresh instance of accessing the form.

Thanks,

James

Hi,

We are not aware of this particular issue, but the problem appears to have to do with browser caching. All the 148 items should be the same image and the browser should not be downloading them 148 times. You may want to try preloading this particular image before the uploader. Here is an article about image preloading:

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for the post below.
It seems the image loading was a possible red herring.
I have managed to narrow the issue down to https.
If I run under http then I do not replicate the issue.
Do you know any possible solution to the problem.

Thanks,

James

Hi,

No. We are not aware of any problems with https, but we will look into it and see if we can reproduce the problem here.

Thanks
