Hi,

No. Unfortunately we do not support that. You can place a second Grid below the parent Grid and update the second Grid when user selects a cell in the parent Grid. But you can not place the second Grid inside the parent Grid.

Thanks!

Hi,

Certainly. This is high on our list. We do not have an ETA yet though.

Thanks!

No ETA does not mean no plan. Every feature goes through requirement, design and implementation and testing stage. An ETA only becomes clear when it reaches the implementation stage.

For small features, the boundaries between these stages are usually not clear but for a big feature as sub Grid, it is not something we can just scratch our head and say oh, yeah, we need this and turn it out to you tomorrow. We understand the importance of the feature and we are looking into it. But it takes time for us to do it right and we won't give you an ETA that we may not be able to hold before that we are pretty sure about every details.

Hi,

Thanks for understanding. We do understand that we have a unique Grid product, and while our client side features are among the best, adding this feature will make it even better. In fact we are constantly adding new features to our Grid. We have recently added fixed items and row spans:

http://demo.essentialobjects.com/Default.aspx?path=Grid\_i1\grid_fixed_items
http://demo.essentialobjects.com/Default.aspx?path=Grid\_i1\_i25

We are also planning to add row spans and row resizing. Once row span and resizing are supported, it will possible to have child controls (not just Grid, for example, a chart) inside a grid cell.

Thanks
