Dialog - display from server code? Options

I know that ShowButton and JavaScript can be used to display the dialog but I need to do it by other means from the server. Specifically in my case, I'm inside the _RowCommand of a Gridview and if conditions are such, I want to display the dialog. Is this possible?

Yes. You would set the dialog's InitialState to Visible.
