"Unordered list" based menu Options

Hi,

I have a simple question.
Why you didn't use an "Unordered List" for the menu module. Wouldn't it make the page SEO friendly, W3C compatible and working without Javasctipt? Instead you have used Span and DIVs with many many Javascript codes.

Hi,

I believe the main reason is that a list based menu will not be able to support many of the customization options/styles that we currently support.
