I'm looking into purchasing some of the EO web objects, but my client prefers to get the source code for any third party controls that are used. Does EO have any licensing options that include a copy of the source code?

Hi Mike,
Unfortunately we currently do not have any license option that includes the source code. Our tech support does have access to the source code and they are very responsive. So if you have any problems using the product, please be rest assured that they will be addressed quickly and effectively ---- in our opinion that should give you better result than digging into the source code by yourself.
Thanks

Thanks Well the reason for getting the source code is not to bypass tech support, but a reassurance in case you guys go out of business. Thank you for your response, I'll see if my client is willing to the make an exception. Please consider adding a source code option in the future; I think it would be in your own interest, since it is probably is a fairly common request, it allows you to get more money out of companies that are willing to pay for it, it costs your next to nothing, and it's an absolute dealbreaker for many companies.

Hi,
All are very excellent points. While the idea of gone out of business has never even been a question to us, we surely understand that can be a concern to the client.
We will certainly keep your suggestion in mind and see if we can add the source code option in the future. The main obstacle for us to do that now is that we have our own build tools. Our product includes quite some unique designs/techniques to support various features that others can not offer. While all those are based on standard technologies to ensure best compatibilities, we do have various custom tools incorporated into the build process. In order for us to release source code, we will have to separating and documenting those first.
Thanks
