Hello There,

i need some help to figure something out and it would be amazing if someone can help me out.
I have a strange issues on almost all of our Clients (at them moment just about 20 Clients but soon it will be 700)
They have a constant cpu load of 1,5 to 5 % all the time, its caused by eowp.exe (Essential Objects Worker Process)

Does anybody else has the issue?

We are run Windows 10 1909, we are using Matrix42 and eowp.exe is a part of their advanced agent. I contacted them but they are just using it to run their things and Matrix cant tell me much about it.

Is there a log file i can check? (i tried to read debug.log but there was no debug.log)
Can i update it, i tried to analyze it by using process explorer but i haven't found anything of use.

That is how call the eowp.exe in our environment >>

Code:
"C:\Program Files\Matrix42\UEM Agent\eowp.exe" --type=renderer --no-sandbox --service-pipe-token=17C3D465E949864A30F5B40E5C054A84 --lang=de --lang=de --log-file="C:\Users\ibmt\AppData\Local\Temp\debug.log" --log-severity=disable --enable-speech-input --enable-pinch --device-scale-factor=1.5 --num-raster-threads=2 --enable-main-frame-before-activation --content-image-texture-target=0,0,3553;0,1,3553;0,2,3553;0,3,3553;0,4,3553;0,5,3553;0,6,3553;0,7,3553;0,8,3553;0,9,3553;0,10,3553;0,11,3553;0,12,3553;0,13,3553;0,14,3553;0,15,3553;0,16,3553;0,17,3553;1,0,3553;1,1,3553;1,2,3553;1,3,3553;1,4,3553;1,5,3553;1,6,3553;1,7,3553;1,8,3553;1,9,3553;1,10,3553;1,11,3553;1,12,3553;1,13,3553;1,14,3553;1,15,3553;1,16,3553;1,17,3553;2,0,3553;2,1,3553;2,2,3553;2,3,3553;2,4,3553;2,5,3553;2,6,3553;2,7,3553;2,8,3553;2,9,3553;2,10,3553;2,11,3553;2,12,3553;2,13,3553;2,14,3553;2,15,3553;2,16,3553;2,17,3553;3,0,3553;3,1,3553;3,2,3553;3,3,3553;3,4,3553;3,5,3553;3,6,3553;3,7,3553;3,8,3553;3,9,3553;3,10,3553;3,11,3553;3,12,3553;3,13,3553;3,14,3553;3,15,3553;3,16,3553;3,17,3553;4,0,3553;4,1,3553;4,2,3553;4,3,3553;4,4,3553;4,5,3553;4,6,3553;4,7,3553;4,8,3553;4,9,3553;4,10,3553;4,11,3553;4,12,3553;4,13,3553;4,14,3553;4,15,3553;4,16,3553;4,17,3553;5,0,3553;5,1,3553;5,2,3553;5,3,3553;5,4,3553;5,5,3553;5,6,3553;5,7,3553;5,8,3553;5,9,3553;5,10,3553;5,11,3553;5,12,3553;5,13,3553;5,14,3553;5,15,3553;5,16,3553;5,17,3553;6,0,3553;6,1,3553;6,2,3553;6,3,3553;6,4,3553;6,5,3553;6,6,3553;6,7,3553;6,8,3553;6,9,3553;6,10,3553;6,11,3553;6,12,3553;6,13,3553;6,14,3553;6,15,3553;6,16,3553;6,17,3553 --enable-gpu-async-worker-context --service-request-channel-token=17C3D465E949864A30F5B40E5C054A84 --renderer-client-id=3 --mojo-platform-channel-handle=2268 /prefetch:1 --eo_init_data=eo.temp.8348.3"

Hi,

You will need to contact the company that creates the Matrix 42 software for such questions. Our product is for software developers, so the developers are our customers and we only support them directly. We do not support end users (our customer's customer).

Typically when they receive your questions, they will first analyze it on their end, and if they have any further technical questions for us, we will be happy to answer them.

Thanks!

Thank you for your reply, do you want to laugh, matrix told me i should contact you.
I will ask them again but as i am here and you guys are the experts, are there any logs i can check or other things i can do on my client to fix this?

I am kinda sitting between to chairs here, i have the issues i need to fix but i dont have any information or documentation that could help me out.

Thanks a lot for your comment, i hope that helps me getting them to get active.

No. Please ask them to contact us directly, and if necessary please forward them our reply here. We do not support the end users for several reasons:

1. Because our product is for software developers, they are the one that integrate our product into their final product. Most issues requires in depth technical analysis to determine whether something is wrong or how it is wrong, which can not be done by the end user. This kind of analysis typically requires both us and the developer to work together because the final product contains code from both of us. Even if we know what's wrong, a solution most of the time requires either us changing code on our side or them to change code on their side or both. In any case, the developer would have to re-integrate our library and make a new updated version of their application. Obviously none of these can not be done by the end user;

2. In a typical scenario, we sell one (or a few) licenses to the developer, who develop an application with our product and then sell to potentially thousands of their customers. Obviously it would not be fair for us to support their thousands of customers based on a few licenses we sell to them;

What they are doing is like you have some issues with the screen of a laptop from Dell, and Dell tells you to contact Samsung directly because Samsung made the screen, as if Dell would expect Samsung to ship a new screen to you and you would somehow be able to magically rip off the old screen and replace it flawlessly yourself. Obviously it doesn't work this way. This would be an extremely irresponsible attitude on their part.
