Hi. I am totally new to EO.PDF. As a matter of fact, until yesterday, I had never heard of it. We use a web based product that had EO.PDF embedded into it that generates PDF documents behind the scene. So, one of my users tried to generate a report that she has generated many times in the past (the last time being April 25) and this time it bombs out.

According to support for the product using EO.PDF behind the scenes, they said this child process of generating a PDF using EO.PDF is being killed by some security software on the system. Well, I have checked logs of all security software running on the system, tried temporarily disabling UAC, Windows FW, Windows Defender. None of it made a difference.

I am not sure how to begin troubleshooting this issue, and I am not sure that the support team I am dealing with knows much more than I do about EO.PDF (which is EXTREMELY limited).

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can even begin to troubleshoot this issue?

Thank you,

Brian

Hi,

You will need to contact vendor of the product you use for such issue. We sell licenses to application developers who developer application and then distribute it to their customers. So we support the application developers, not the end users/end application. It is not practical for us to support end users directly not only because of license terms, but also because we mostly deal with technical issues under the hood. For example, our support could tell you to change your source code to such and such or call that Windows API, etc. It's not possible for end users to do that because they neither have the technical background nor have the product source code. Because of this, any final product issue must go through the corresponding product developer. They would then contact us and we will work with them closely and hopefully will eventually get your issue resolved.

Thanks!
