I have a wierd problem. When I place a DatePicker Control on a FormView in Insert or Edit mode or when I edit a FormView Template, the DatePicker Control starts to flash(!). This couses VS to stop working and I have to force VS to exit. Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi,

We have never seen a control flashing on VS.NET's design surface. Do you see any other additional error message?

Thanks

Hi,

No, and the only control that does that is the DatePicker Control (as far as i know). The flashing occurs randomly and not every time and the only way to make it stop is to force VS to exit and to restart the computer.

It occures both on my home computer and on my work computer. On my work computer I use Windows 2000 and on my home computer Windows Vista Business. Both with VS 2008 PRO.

Thanks

Here’s what I been doing for the last day:
I’ve uninstalled VS 2008 and everything associated with VS 2008, including .NET FrameWork 3.5. I’ve also uninstalled EO.Web Controls.

After that I installed Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition and then I reinstalled EO.Web Controls. Everything works just fine now, there’s no flashing controls anymore. However, it would be nice to be able to use the power of VS 2008 and .NET FrameWork 3.5....

Conclusion: There must be something wrong with .NET FrameWork 3.5 or Your DLL together with .NET FrameWork 3.5.

Hi,

Just want to let you know that we are still working on this issue. We are able to reproduce it but still trying to find a way around it.

Thanks
