If this question has been asked in the forum, Kindly excuse me.
We have purchased the license for the Tab strip/multi page control.
If we create a separte key based on the domain name, that key is NOT working in the server.
We are getting an error message "the product has to be purchased.."
Should we purchase a separate license for production server?
Please correct me if I am wrong: Does Tab strip and multipage come with 2 different license keys?
In case if there is a free upgrade could you please give us the license key. Currently we are using 2007.1 version.

You have only purchased a TabStrip standard license. Later we provided two more license to you for free:

1. A second TabStrip standard license. Since each TabStrip standard license can only be used on a single host name, this additional TabStrip standard license allows you to use our product on a different host name. This additional license is not provided as a separate order. Rather we cleared your existing host name entry for your original order, which allowed you to create a second host entry;

2. A MultiPage developer license. Developer license allows you to use our product with any host name. This license is provided as a separate order which appears in your “My Orders” page;

The problem for you appears to caused by the host name restriction. Currently you can only use your TabStrip on HRWBT.TN.GOV. If you access your website with any other host name, you will get a license warning message (first level child host names are fine, for example, WWW.HRWBT.TN.GOV is fine). Your MultiPage license does not have this restriction.

If you do need to run your TabStrip on a different host name rather than the one above, you will need to upgrade to the full developer license (since we have already gave you one free host name entry and a free MultiPage developer license, we won't be able to give you free host name entry any more). If the host name is correct, you can try to troubleshoot the problem by following steps outlined in this post:

http://www.essentialobjects.com/Forum/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=119

Your free upgrade covers 2007.1 and 2007.2. So you will be able to get a key to be used with 2007.2. You can get the key directly from your account on "My Orders" page. Let us know if you decide to upgrade to 2007.2, in which case we will provide you the download location (the current release is 2008). There is no significant difference between 2007.1 and 2007.2 as to TabStrip and MultiPage though.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Thank you for immediate reply. We are using both tab strip and multipage controls in our portal web application developed using VS 2005. From your reply, I understand that I need to include 2 license keys(one for tab strip and the second one for multipage).
This needs to be included in Global.aspx.vb file-correct?

EO.Web.Runtime.AddLicense( _
lickey for tab strip
)

EO.Web.Runtime.AddLicense( _
lickey for multipage
)

Do you think this is the way, I have to include the license key for both?
Please correct me if my understanding is wrong?

Appreciate your early reply.

Thank you.

Hi,

Yes. You can do that. You can also use license file, either way is fine.

When you use license file, rename one of the file first, say "eo_web1.licx". Our controls picks up all files that matches "eo_web*.licx".

Thanks
