I am using the javascript setSize method on the Grid to change the size.
The problem is that when I change the size it takes upto 5-6 seconds to set the height to say 500 or 700...the bigger I size the grid the longer it takes - even without any rows the process take >4 seconds...which I hope you'll agree is a long time to wait when the screen seems locked.
Is this normal behaviour?
Should it really take that long?
What can I do to improve the process?

No. It's definitely not normal when it takes 4 - 5 seconds without rows. Can you create a test project that demonstrates this problem so that we can take a looK?

I have created a test project and mocked the main project as best i can...i have found that when expanding the grid for the first time (without rows) it takes ~4 secs...consequent changes in size are instant.
Sound familiar?
