Hello All,
You can either help me or laugh at me. I am new to this site.
I love the "SLIDE MENU" (Style 3) but I have big problems:
1. Can this be done on my Mac OSX?
2. Can I just use an editor like dreamweaver?
3. How do I implement this on a web page if this is the only element?
4. Can I round the corners like on the Mac site:
example= http://www.apple.com/mac/
The categories that they implement their slide bar are on the
right side and with the categories Top Downloads, Widgets & Hot News

Finally a post for you newbies to laugh at but I have to start somewhere...lol.
Any help would be a huge releif.
Thanks.
Jonathan

Hi Jonathan,

As for your question:

1. Our slide menu is a server components and the server side (your web server) must run on IIS + ASP.NET. The client side can run on IE, FireFox, Opera an Safari. On your Mac OSX, you would need to use Safari.

2. Slide Menu Builder only runs on Windows. You are free to use any editor such as MS Expression or Adobe Dreamweaver, however the Slide Menu Builder is only integreated with several MS products and Borland Developer Studio. "Integrated with" you can invoke the Slide Menu Builder within your editor. While we are not integrated with Dreamweaver, you can still run Slide Menu Builder in standalone mode and copy the result into your page. Again, your web server must run IIS + ASP.NET for the page to run.

3. Our controls are designed for ASP.NET, so the page should be an ASP.NET page. An ASP.NET page can include one or more controls. ASP.NET itself is a big topic, so if you want to get into it, you can dig into MS documentations. As a start, you can check this out:

http://www.w3schools.com/aspnet/default.asp

4. Yes. You can do that. With each of our menu item, you can specify a left image, right image and a background image. Properly customizing those images should give you whatever effect you would want. For more details, you can take a look of our online documentation at here:

Go to EO.Web Slide Menu -> Using EO.Web Slide Menu -> Style & Appearance.

Hope this helps.

Thanks
