Hi

I am using this

ClientSideOnSelect="alert('s')"

what is the right way to use this.

my requirement is onchange of the date i have to select a radio button.

You will want to rely on the reference section in the document for this. Features can be added or even removed during the product's life time. The reference contains the most current and accurate information.
