Dear Support Team,
We already had an issue with two of our customers where your WebBrowser had extreme performance issues after a Windows update. This Windows update only contains an update of the Microsoft Edge Webview2 Runtime to version 116.0.1938.69.
We're using your WebBrowser version 2023.0.83.
Do you know any issue with this Edge version. Are you using the same data or directories like Edge? Is there any dependency on Edge?
After updating your WebBrowser to version 2023.2.65 the issue is resolved. But for the future it would be nice to know if there is a dependency on Edge so that we can prevent such problems.
Thank you in advance for some information!
Best regards!

Hi,
We do not have any dependency on Edge browser. Even though Edge browser is based on the same code base, once compiled these are two separate product and our product is completely self contained inside our DLL.
We did fix some performance issues recently so the issue could be completely unrelated to your Edge update. It is however also possible that specific Edge update has changed some system files, which our product does rely on and caused the performance issue and this issue is subsequently resolved by the Chromium team, which resulted in the issue being resolved in the new version.
Thanks!
