hello EO.

I'm trying to show the virtual keyboard, this is my code.

webView1.Engine.Options.AlwaysShowOnScreenKeyboardOnTouch = true;

The virtual keyboard appears, but when you try to write, it is hidden instantly

Any ideas on how to correct this problem?

I am using EO.WebBrowser 18.2.74

Hi,

This appears to be a problem on Windows 10 with latest update. We will look into it and see what we can find.

Thanks!

Hi,

We have sent you license keys for V17. Please see your private message for the license key.

Thanks!

Hi,

This still seems to be an issue with version 19.0.69, it's working with 17.3.13 though.
Will there be a fix for this in the nearest future?

Thanks!

I've been trying with some versions between the two mentioned above and the virtual keyboard works as expected up to version 18.3.46.0. With the current 19.0.x.x versions however it disappears after a few seconds. That's at least how it's working for me here, so it would seem like something has changed when it comes to the keyboard with the 19.0.x.x. versions.

Virtual keyboard on Windows is extremely hard to control because Microsoft is constantly changing how virtual keyboard works through Windows update. If you use Windows 10, you can try to turn the following setting on to see if it works: Settings -> Devices -> Typing -> Touch Keyboard -> Show the touch keyboard when not in tablet mode and there is no keyboard attached.

I don't think that setting will help because we are using it in tablet mode. And I don't think it's a Windows 10 update issue in this case because we can see a difference in behavior on the same Windows 10 version but with different EO.WebBrowser versions. With 18.x.x.x versions the keyboard comes up and stays but with 19.x.x.x versions it comes up and disappears after a few seconds. Does that not mean that something happened with EO.WebBrowser when going from 18.x to 19.x?

I would highly recommend you to just let Windows handle the virtual keyboard. We have been trying to get this to work for years but we have not been able to get it work reliably. The problem is not that it works in v18 but not in v19. The problem is any version only works sometimes with some version of Windows with specific Windows patches versions. Microsoft does not want the program to control virtual keyboard and they keep changing it. So it's a losing battle here.

Hi Filip, experiencing the same problem since version 19, I added a question about it too but I'm not really sure where it stands. Right now I have to stay with version 18 (Chromium 62) but I will only be able to that for so long before my application becomes outdated. Have you found a way around this? thank you
