Hi there.

EO.WebBrowser are very wonderful product to me.
It supports Flash, SilverLight except HTML5 especially video tag.

Do you have any plan or roadmap supports HTML5?

Thank you for your quick reply.

Do you tell me rough schedules for supporting HTML5 if possible?
For example, CY14Q1 or CY14H1, ...

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jason,

EO.WebBrowser already supports most HTML5 features. You can check which features are supported and which are not supported by running our demo app and load this page:

http://html5test.com

Chrome browser currently score 503 out of 555. We currently score 396 out of 555. The main pieces that are missing are media (video/audio). We expect to add those within a month or two.

EO.WebBrowser is based on Chrome's source code and our code base is closely in sync with Chrome's code base. Our current release runs the same code base as Chrome's current release (version 33). So in theory it should support everything Chrome browser supports. However certain modules are not "turned on" yet since we haven't gone through them yet (testing, reviewing the programming interface, etc), but we are going through them one by one and media support is one of the priorities. So I would expect it to be supported very soon.

Thanks!

I would love to see video support too! It is by far the first thing I miss from this nice product.
