I am evaluating EO.Pdf using version 18.2.74 from NuGet.

Ref: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PDF/A
What PDF/A standards are supported by EO.Pdf?

https://www.essentialobjects.com/doc/eo.pdf.pdfstandard.aspx
PdfStandard.None
PdfStandard.PDF_A (= PDF/A-1A)

As long as I can see, EO.pdf's PDF/A support today is limited to PDF/A-1A only, which is a standard from 2005.

What are the further plans for PDF / A in EO.Pdf?

Thanks for your feedback. We do not have any plan to extend PDF/A support beyond PDF/A-1A in the near future due to limited demands and the challenge it posts to support our other features such as HTML to PDF converter. Sorry about it!

Thank you,
Nice to clarify that when you write PDF/A, you mean PDF/A-1a.
The description PDF / A is an inaccurate description.

Some of my customers have very detailed requirements for which PDF versions they can accept, such as for long-term archiving.

Sorry about the confusion. This was due to historical reasons. We implemented PDF/A when there was only PDF/A1. Newer standards have been added over the years but we have not extended our code yet. In theory we could rename our PDF_A enum value to PDF_A1 but it would break existing code while not gaining any additional functionalities, so it was left as is. We will clarify this in our documentation.
