Hi

I'm using EO.Pdf 3.0.104.2 , and notice pdf conversion is missing the css style and image if I run the site with HTTPS. However, if I run it with HTTP, then the pdf conversion is fine with image and css style.

I've tried to access one of the image on the server locally, and I was able to access the image directly with https(https://www.aed-technical-assessments.com/images/ata_header.jpg), but when it comes to pdf, the image is still missing.

Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Hi,

Please try the latest EO.Pdf and see if it works for you. If that works for you, then the problem is most likely due to TLS version. Your version of EO.Pdf only supports older version of TLS. So if your web server uses a newer version of TLS, then it won't work. In that case you would need to upgrade to the current version (technically you could change your web server to use older version of TLS but that's not an viable option because the very reason that there is a newer version of TLS is because security vulnerabilities have been discovered in the older version).

Thanks!

Is there any special price that I can get if I'm to upgrade from my current version to the current version?

Hi,

If your previous order is for version 3, then we do not have any special pricing because it is too old. We only have upgrade discount for orders placed in the past 3 years. Version 3 was released in 2011, so it has long passed the upgrade window.

The new version is a lot better than your version. Your version is based on WebKit dated back in 2011. The current version is based on Google's Chromium browser engine that is much more actively developed and has a much larger user base. We also constantly update to the latest Chromium engine to stay up to date. Numerous new features and security patches (with the TLS issue you run into being one of them) have been introduced over the year.

In addition to a much newer browser engine, the new version is also much more tolerate and robust than your version. We have received numerous test cases from our users over the year, many of them are rarely used cases or involves slightly corrupted files. As we work through these cases, the product becomes a lot more tolerate ---- for example a file with minor errors would cause an exception with the old version, but the new version maybe able to safely ignore the portion with the error and recover from it. So if you haven't updated for so many years, you should definitely consider switching to the current version. When you purchase a new license for the current version, you will also automatically receive free upgrade for one year.

You can use the trial version for 30 days for testing purchase only.

Please feel free to let us know if you have any more question.

Thanks
