For some reason, anything printed from EO.WebBrowser to the Datamax-O'Neil ST-3210 comes out on many pages cut into strips. Chrome prints the same pages perfectly. EO.WebBrowser prints the same pages to our HP laser printer just fine.

Really need help with this. We spent a lot of money on this control, and this is a very important project for a very important client.

Hi,

This looks like an issue originated from the browser engine and there isn't a lot we can do about it in such cases. Our product is built with Chromium's source code (the current version is based on V41), so we basically take it as is and it is not realistic for us to fix issues on top it. There are hundreds of changes submitted to Chromium's code base every day, if we were to forward port or fix every issues, then it will quickly get out of sync with the original code base and it will become unmanageable for us. We do plan to update our code base to the latest version very soon, so hopefully this issue will be addressed by then.

Thanks!

As I mentioned in my post, Chrome prints to the same printer without issue. And, EO.WebBrowser prints to a different printer without issue. I believe this is specific to the way EO.WebBrowser prints to this printer. It is a rapid thermal printer.

To at least help me in figuring out what is going on, is there a way to show a print preview with EO.WebBrowser?

Hi,

The reason could be that we use a different version of Chrome. Our version is based on Chrome V41. The current Chrome version is V47 and it contains numerous changes after V41. This printer difference could be one of them. We will be upgrading our code base to V47 or V48 very soon. So hopefully this issue will be addressed after that. If that still does not work, then we can investigate further to see what we can find ---- most likely you would have to ship a printer to us since this only occurs to that printer.

Another thing you can try is to use a different common font (such as Arial) for your text and see if that prints out correctly. Very often printing issues are related to fonts. Currently we do not support print preview.

Thanks

I was able to obtain a copy of Chrome version 41. It prints as expected.

Hi,

In that case if you can send us the printer and we will be happy to investigate further. You can find our mailing address from our contact page. Please PM us with details such as tracking number once you have sent it and include as much information as possible that you think may help us to reproduce the problem. Once we receive it we will start working on it.

Thanks!
