Hello,

I'm interested in using the Grid for editting records, especially using the "Excel style" on the fly edits. I'm having a hard time finding code samples and help with this topic.

Please help
Thanks

Joe

PS. Currently running in Demo mode, does the Grid still function fully?

Hi Joe,

The demo project contains the excel style sample which shows you how to use that feature. Also, all our controls are fully functional in demo mode. The only difference is it may display a license warning message without a license.

Thanks

Thanks forgot about those. :)

One questions though, how does the grid handle updating the data? I don't see any reference to an update SQL statement. Is that something the demo does not have and you would need to run a manual update statement on the cells that changed??

Thanks
Joe

Hi Joe,

The Grid functions pretty much like a table that holds data for you. When user changes the data, it tells you which cell has been changed to what value. You will need to write your own code to save the changes back to your data source (whatever it may be) based on the information the Grid provided to you.

Thanks
