When clicking on a node on a TreeView with RaisesServerEvent="true", the following exception is thrown.
0x800a139e - JavaScript runtime error: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerParserErrorException: The message received from the server could not be parsed.

This only happens in IE11 on a Windows 7 machine. The error does not occur in any other browser or Windows 8.1.

I have a test project available that demonstrates the issue.

Hi,

We have not been able to reproduce this problem. Please check if you are running the latest build. It is possible that you have an older build that was released before IE 11 so it does not support IE 11 well. In that case you can try to download the latest build from our download page and see if the problem still occurs.

If the problem still occurs with the latest build, we will need your test project in order to investigate further. Please see here for instructions on how to submit a test project:

Thanks!

Hi,

We received your test project and we can not reproduce the problem with IE 11 on Windows 7. So it might have to do with that specific computer. You may want to check if you have any third party plug-ins or other "filter" that might have altered the contents of the page between the server and the browser.

Thanks!

What was the build number of Internet Explorer that you used? I have had several people all report this issue and they are using 11.0.9600.17126. I have disabled all Add-Ons and disabled anti-virus software, but the issue still exists. Do you have some ideas on how I might troubleshoot this issue. I am pretty confident that it is not a firewall or proxy issue since a different browser can be used side by side and the problem does not occur.

Hi,

We have exactly the same version of IE and the problem does not happen here. Do you have the page online so that we can try to access it from here to see if we can see the problem?

Thanks!

Finally found the issue, turns out to be "avast! Online Security" Add-on. So any ideas on how to address this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi,

There is no way for us to address such issue except for disable such add-ons. There are numerous third-party add-ons on the market and everyone of them is constantly changing. So there is no way for us to address such issue from our side or for you to address it on your side except for stopping using them because they must have somehow altered/blocked the page incorrectly. In such cases they would have to fix it from their end.

Thanks!
