I use form elements and if I have (using adobe acrobat) created a checkbox, set the "Check box style" to cross. If I then unselect the option "Check box is checked by default" and also save the form with the checkbox actually not set(this seem to override the default option). This will result in that IF I set the checkbox to Yes in code it will not be a Cross as the symbol inside the box but a Check. Why is this? If I however set the default to checked (and also I check it outside the form editor in adobe acrobat) and set it to check with EO.PDF it will be a Cross not a Check symbol.

Edit: The default settings does not seem to matter, what matters is if I Check or Not check it when saving the form itself. If it is set from the beginning it will be a Cross, if it is not sett it will be a check.

Hi,

I believe we always set it to Check. Can you send us a test file so that we can look into it and see if we can support Cross. We will PM you as to where to send the test file.

Thanks!

It is always a check IF the pdf itself is not saved as marked, then it will be of the type defined in the form.

I have sent you a test file to illustrate the problem, hoping you can find a quick solution for this as I otherwise have to make lots of "not so neat" code.

Hi, I thought I replied but well it got lost. I have tried the update and it does not resolve the issue for my real project nor the testexample I sent you. It still comes out as a "Check" symbol when it should be a "Cross". Is there anything that has to be set manually in code?

Hi,

We have verified the new build with your test file and it did check the "box" field with a cross. What is your EO.Pdf.dll version?

Thanks!

Hi,

That does not make sense. Can you re-send your test app to us? Please keep the exact code that would cause it to create a check mark. We must have assumed something in your previous test code and have run/changed the code differently than what you intended.

Thanks!

Hi,

Have you found anything? Sorry to urge you on but I would like a solution as soon as possible, otherwise I have to do some "quick fix" on my side, which I of cause would prefer not to have to do :).
