Hi,

I upgraded to Firefox 13 this morning, and have discovered an issue.

We make frequent use of modal dialogs in our application. When shown, the modal dialog sets the BackShadColor to black and BackShadeOpacity to 20.

When run on Firefox 13, we get a purely black background. Changing the BackShadeOpacity has no effect.

I realise that this may well be a bug (or "feature") in version 13, but have found nothing on the forums discussing this.

Please could you investigate, as many of our users are on Firefox, and this is cause us some concern. If it is possible for a quick fix on this I would be extremely grateful, as this has suddently become a LIVE issue for us, now that v13 is rolling out.

Regards
Phil

PS. On further investigation, it would appear that for some reason, the 'opacity' CSS value is not being set from the BackShadeOpacity property on Firefox 13 (although this was fine in Firefox 12)

Hi,

Thanks for reporting this issue. We have posted a new build (2012.0.20) that should fix this problem. Please download the new build from our download page.

The root of the problem is older version of FireFox uses "moz-opacity" to specify opacity. With now everyone else supports "opacity" CSS property, they switched and stopped supporting "moz-opacity" (I do not know why they do that). The new build checks FireFox version and uses "opacity" instead for newer FireFox.

Thanks!

Hi John,

No. The fixes are only down in the current version. We provide free upgrade for one year, so if you are still within one year of the purchase, then you can download and use the new version (also make sure you go to your license key page to get a new license key).

Thanks!

Hi David,

We have sent the download location for the latest EO.Web 2012 build to you through private message. That build is much newer than the build that fixed the problem, so it should also have the fix. You can click "Inbox" on top of the forum to view the message.

Thanks!
