I am trying out the trial version of EO.Pdf, to determine whether if would be worthwhile for us to purchase it. It works well, however there is one problem. When I use the ASPXToPDF control to render my page as PDF, the font quality is substantially lower than is displayed on-screen. I have tried every setting I can find to alleviate this problem, but to no avail. Is there something I'm missing, perhaps a way to force the PDF output to use a specific font? Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi,

Check whether you have anything in your page that would cause alpha mixing. By default, all fonts are rendered in vector style. That gives you the best quality and ability to zoom in infinitely without losing quality. However if you have certain elements in your page that would cause an alpha mixing, for example, a half transparent background image, then it may trigger a process to flat the text and background image out as a single bitmap. Once it is converted to bitmap, it loses ability to zoom in without losing quality and also the final quality is significantly lower. If this is the case, you will want to modify your HTML file to avoid such scenarios.

Thanks!
