I recently upgraded to the EO.PDF v2013. (Using both 2011 and 2012 version in production happily for years). PDF generation looks great but creating PNGs (using same code except for GeneratePageImages is set to true) has a minor issue. It looks like fonts are bold- like they are being stretched left and right. Text that is suppose to be bold is even bolder so the issue is not everything is bold. I verified the produced HTML is all valid (using HtmlToPdf.ConvertHtml). Could you send give me access to this issue and see if mine is related: http://www.essentialobjects.com/forum/postst7806_Problem-with-Fonts.aspxI am using a custom @font-face but I removed its reference in the font-family and went back to plain font-family: Verdana, sans-serif !important and that font was even doing it.

Hi,
We are not aware of such problems. The link you posted is about another problem: when a font family does not have the corresponding font data for the "bold" style, the converter were not rendering correctly (originally it renders the wrong character). That issue has been fixed.
I would recommend you to try the latest build first, if you still have problem, please try to create a test page and post the test page. Once we have that we will try to run it here to see what we can find.
Also please keep in mind that the quality of the PNG file will be a lot lower than the PDF file. This is because the text in PDF file are in vector format. So they can be zoomed in infinitely, where as the text in the PNG has already been "flatted" out as bitmap at screen resolution. So you will see visible pixelation at the edge of the text.
Thanks!

I have confirmed the issue is 2013 related. First I downloaded the latest version like you suggested and still had the issue. Then I replaced the new EO.PDF and EO.Web dlls with the previous 2012 version and the issue was fixed. See image of sample result here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/carns/10087464753/ being generated by the exact same code base, just dlls switched out. Any suggestions? My site has a vast amount of js and css references so posting an example may be difficult.

Hi,
Please try to isolate the problem into a test page. The problem appears to have to do with the fore color. The difference between the two pictures may not be bold or not bold, but be the fore color for one is dark black and the other one is gray.
Thanks!

I am sorry but that is not it. The image I posted was the exact same code on the exact same page - ran 5 minutes a part. The only difference was what version of the EO.PDF and EO.Web DLL was referenced (2012 vs 2013 - take note of the DLL versions I reference in the image.) I will however try the newest version just made public and see if the issue remains.

Hi,
I understand that the problem only occurs with the new version. What I was saying is the problem may not be related to bold or not, rather it's related to text color, even though we do not know what cause the text color to be different with the new build yet. In order to find that out, we need a reproducing sample page.
Thanks!

Font color is black so looks like that is not it. Sample file with supporting files zipped up here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/90348/BolderFontPNG.zipLet me know if you repo it.
