Hi,

I'm using eo.pdf within a visual studio 2008 project. When I try and use the PdfDocument.Merge function I'm getting the following error:

Error parsing input stream at offset 2028468. Expected to read 'number', actually got 'endobj'

When I try and view the file using Adobe it opens up fine, if I then save the PDf file, and try and run the function again it works without a problem. I'm not sure if the error is a permissions based on, or if there's a problem with the original PDF file that it's trying to merge but any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jamie

Hi,

That usually occurs when there are some minor problems with the file. You can send us the file and we will see if we can change our code to be more tolerate for such problems. We will PM you as to where to send the files.

Thanks!

Is there a solution to this problem. We are also getting the same error message when trying to merge the pdf documents. There are no issues opening the files.

You can download the latest build from our download page and see if it fixes the problem for you. If it does not, we will need you to send us a reproducing project. Once we have that we can look into it and see what we can find.

Thanks!

Hi
I tried with the new version but it still gives me the error - "expected='endobj'"
Stack Trace
at EO.Pdf.Internal.f9.g()
at EO.Pdf.Internal.f9.a(Boolean A_0)
at EO.Pdf.Internal.gl.a(Stream A_0, Boolean A_1)
at EO.Pdf.Internal.gl.a(String A_0)
at EO.Pdf.Internal.gl..ctor(String A_0, PdfDocumentSecurity A_1)
at EO.Pdf.PdfDocument..ctor(String fileName)

Let me know where I can send you the pdf's that I am trying to merge.
Another observation: If I open the pdfs in Acrobat Standard 9 and save it again, this error goes away.
Thanks
Rakesh

Hi,

I have PMed you as to where to send the file. Please note that if you open the file in Acrobat and save it again and the error goes away, then it's most likely the file is corrupted. If that is the case then there is very little we can do.

Thanks!
