Hi!
Using eo.pdf.dll with a application called Thermia HPC.
eo.pdf.dll version 3.0.44.2 eo.pdf.html.dll version 3.0.44.2
I cant demand the developer to update the eo.pdf modules and im stuck at the moment.
Running Windows 2008 r2 terminal servers with the application hosted on a application share. So the .exe is started running on a fileshare.
Running with full administrator right its working like a charm, but running as normal user this is the error message im receiving " failed to initialize conversion" and in eventlog this is written:
EO Debug Message
Code = 7. hr = 80131604
Ive tried to isolate if were the application writes with processmonitor, but with no success.
Can u give me any direction on were the required permission is needed and perhaps tell me more about this error message displayed?
Regards Anders

Hi,
Please try to update to the current version (3.0.95.2). This is a much newer version that addressed many of these issues. Most importantly, the new version uses a SINGLE dll (only EO.Pdf.dll) instead of two. EO.Pdf.Html.dll is no longer needed. That eliminates a lot of potential problems.
Let us know if the problem still occurs with the new version.
Thanks!

Yes, im aware of the new version. But since we are not the developer of the program, I cant demand them to update. Is there no way trying to solve this permission issue in the current version im using? To were does the .dlls want write permission?

Hi,
No. We won't support a product that way, otherwise we would end up with supporting 100 different minor builds each with 100 different problems, that is obviously not practical at all. If we have already fixed an issue in a new build, then you will need to update to the new build first.
Thanks!
