Hi,

I am running my application on a server using several web addresses for one solution. My company has different brandings for different services. Therefore I need different addresses pointing to one and a same solution using in IIS Manager. To achieve that I am using different bindings associated to one and a same web-server that runs a fully dynamic solution.

This means that I’m running one solution at one and the same server, database, company, but with different web associations regarding branding and service but in one and the same company that bought a license. It is not different solutions, different customer or different company.

Even though, I have this issue with your solution prompting if the license is OK. Please advice:

- I am not convinced that this is correct from a license perspective and terms presented as it is one and the same solution, customer and company but using different brandings on the same server.

- How to solve this most efficiently and with reference to license agreement.

Best Regards,

ITMA

Hi,

You will need a developer license in that case. Neither standard license nor developer license restricts the number of solutions/customers/applications. Even for standard license, our license agreement clearly states that you CAN use it for unlimited number of solutions or applications.

What matters is how many domain names you use. Standard license only allow a single domain name. That's why it's cheaper. You have a standard license, so you can only use it with a single domain name. If you need multiple domain names, you will need to upgrade to developer license.

The cost to upgrade from 2010 standard license to 2011 developer license is about $230. Because the upgrade is in between difference versions, so we give you 70% credit of what you have paid ($169). That gives you a discount about $120 and a final price of about $230. Please let us know if you are interested.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to let us know if you have any more questions.

Thanks!

Hi,

Glad to hear that. We have sent you a discount code via private message. You can place a new developer license order with that discount code.

Please feel free to let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks!
